Prior to the redesign tasks were the first things you were presented with after logging in. Is there any way to change or allow a setting to be implemented that will allow this to occur again? For example one of my spaces is just for managing and assigning tasks, so conversations are not the focus there.

Christine Boermeester Hi Elliot,
At this time, there isn't a way to default to tasks instead of conversations but we will definitely keep that in mind for a future release.
Thanks,
Christine

Heather MacDonald Hi - was just about to write this very thing as an idea but I see it's already been suggested. Would be great to be able to default to tasks vs conversations. LOVE Kona, use it daily - thanks so much!

Andrew Wootton PLEASE implement this feature.
The feedback from my team is that Kona is too complicated (inflexible and impossible to customise) to be useable as a core tool. So we end up defaulting to that most flexible tool — email!
Not great...
However, the desire to minimise flexibility and force users down a particular use model that the coders believe is 'correct' seems a fault inherent in all online project management systems (and I have tried dozens). I think the fault is in the attitude and narrow thinking of IT types — and the fact that so often they seem blind to the shortcomings of their 'solutions'.
This all leaves me dreaming of a Steve Jobs-type coming along and presenting us with a properly designed alternative. It does feel that current solutions are metaphorically trapped in DOS territory, and someone needs to invent a proper, human-centred way of doing things.
In the meantime, just allowing users to customise the system to their needs and their team's way of working would, sadly, be revolutionary — and a promethean leap forward!

Iris Lavarias Hi Andrew,
We greatly appreciate your feedback. I passed it on to our design team, so they can keep this feature in mind for a future release.
Thanks,
Iris
