Currently only the person who created the work space can invite additional member. Add the ability to promote a team member to have this right would be a nice enhancement.
I created a workspace for a team and would like to promote one of the team members to have this ability. Currently I need to do this task each time.

I agree; great addition to Kona.
It be great to have multiple owners of the workspace as well - if you go on vacation, etc or just want to have multiple owners.
I would be nice to have more than one owner for when the other is not available.
I'm leaving the company today, but I need to transfer ownership of a portal. How can I do that?

You can now transfer ownership of a space to someone else in Kona.
Go into the Space you would like to pass off, and click on the pencil icon next to the space name. Click Leave This Space. You will then be prompted to choose a new owner for the Space.

This is now a feature of the Kona Business Edition (KBE)! You can have multiple owners on a space and those people all have invite privileges. KBE is in Early Adoption right now and will be available to everyone later this year.

Christine - I have some spaces that I can add additional owners to and some that I can not. Is that because this is a new feature that you have added in 2013 and is not available to spaces that were created before you added this ability?

Spaces that are within the Kona Business account will have the ability to add additional owners to. Spaces that are still in "My Account" will not have this feature.
