What is the difference between tasks that “all must complete” and “all can complete”?

When you create a new task and assign more than one person to it, you will see a pop up asking you if “Assignees must complete this task individually.” 


If this box is unchecked, then anyone in the Assign To field can mark the task complete and the entire task will be completed.  This option is perfect for when it doesn’t matter who completes the task, just that someone does, and it only needs to be done once.

If this box is checked, then everyone in the Assign To field must complete the task individually.  The task will be marked complete when everyone has individually completed it.  The task will show with a "Must Complete" badge in Deltek Collaboration.

    I dont see this option when I create Tasks? How do I find it?

    Hi Anders,

    The wording of this feature changed in our last release.  Now, once you select more than one person on a task, you will see a check box appear that says "Assignees must complete this task individually."  If you check that box, it is a Must Complete for every person on the task.  Meaning each person has to complete it before the entire task is complete.  If you do not check that box, anyone that you assign can complete the task and it will be finished for all.  Let me know if you have any questions.

    At this time, there is no way to change a task type after it has been created.
