From the Files tab in your Home page or a specific space, select the plus [+] button in the upper right corner of the Add a File bar. Click the paperclip icon and choose the Link option. This will open a field where you can type the URL. After typing the website link, click Done. You can edit the people who will see this link, what space the link will go to (if adding from your Home page), and you can begin the conversation. You can also mark this link as a favorite by clicking the star icon and add notes.
How do I share a URL link?

Rana Blair I wanted to confirm that you can only share a link to a web location. Not a unc path on your server. I don't have a sharepoint server so trying to find a way to link things without making copies.

The link field will accept a UNC path on the server in addition to a web location. It will be clickable as well.

Cecily Rodriguez Is it possible not to have a link option? After I click the green + button, the box opens up to add file and I have file, tag, note, add file, and favorite?

If you click on the paperclip icon (Add files), you will be able to see the 'Attach Link' option from the drop-down options.
