How can I organize my conversations into folders?

You can group the space conversations into folders to help members stay organized and find the items they need quickly.  Inside a space on the Conversations tab, open the left navigation pane by selecting the (>) directly next to the filtering options.  Note: Only space owners can create, delete, rename, and reorder folders.  Space members can add items to the folders to help maintain organization within the space.

To create a new conversation folder: Click the “Add folder” link.  You will then have the opportunity to name your folder.  You can create as many folders as you’d like.  Everyone in the space will see the conversation folders and can move conversations that they have access to.

To move conversations into a folder: Drag and drop!  Left-click on the conversation name from the middle section and hold the click as you move the mouse to the folder name.  The folder name will highlight to indicate where the conversation will go.  Release the click and the conversation will be in the new folder.  Repeat the process for all conversations you want to move into folders.  You will also be able to assign a new conversation to an existing folder when you create it.

To view conversations in a folder: Click on the conversation folder name on the left side.  This will pull up a list of only the conversations that are part of that folder.  Click the [+] button to add a new conversation will automatically add the conversation into the open folder.

To delete a conversation folder: From the space’s Conversations tab, select the (>) symbol to the left of the filtering options to open the folder navigation pane.  Locate the folder you would like to delete and mouse over the folder count in the right corner to display an arrow beside it.  Click the arrow to open a drop-down menu and select Delete. 

To rename a conversation folder: From the space’s Conversations tab, select the (>) symbol to the left of the filtering options to open the folder navigation pane.  Locate the folder you would like to rename and mouse over the folder count in the right corner to display an arrow beside it.  Click the arrow to open a drop-down menu and select Rename.

To reorder the conversation folders: On the Conversations tab, the folders can be re-ordered from the middle pane where all the conversations are listed.  Under the [+] sign to add a new conversation, make sure the sort is set to “None.”  Then choose “All” from the All/Highlights/Favorites /Muted views so you can get a full list of all your folders.  From the list of folders on the left side, choose “All conversations.”  At this point, you can drag and drop the folders (as shown highlighted in yellow) in the middle section into the order you want.
